Today kicked off the start of the Spring equinox, also known as March’s Vernal equinox. This gives us an equal amount of daylight and darkness at all latitudes.
This event marks the end of the Winter season and the start of Spring in the northern hemisphere. It also is the start of Fall for those who call the southern hemisphere home.
The season officially started at 3:58 P.M. mountain time. Expect warmer temperatures, longer days and shorter nights.
The borderland is expecting to start the first weak of the season with above average temperatures, ranging from 71°- 78°. This Spring we are also expecting to see higher dew points, meaning more chances for rain.
