El Paso, TX (KTSM) — The Borderland continues to see a warming trend into Friday afternoon. This allows temperatures to reach highs in the 70s after the Borderland has seen multiple days below-normal this week.
The Borderland can expect to see temperatures stick to normal into Friday night with calm winds.
Highs will start to warm into above-average temperatures come Saturday. With highs reaching the mid to upper-
Sunday a backdoor cold-front will move through the region. This will cause windy conditions with speeds reaching 15-25 mph. Temperatures will cool only slightly from the cold front with temperatures dropping into the upper 60s and lower 70s.
The “cool down” will be short lived as the La Nina pattern begins to take effect once again.
The pattern will favor high-pressure in the south, allowing the Borderland to see temperatures rise throughout next week.
Temperatures will rise above normal once again by mid week with highs expected to reach the 80s and upper 70s.
Calm conditions will remain for majority of the week.
