El Paso, TX (KTSM)– A Heat Advisory has been issued for El Paso by the National Weather Service as temperature highs are expected to match records in some areas of the southwest.
This comes as a high-pressure system continues to make its way into the region from Mexico.
Temperatures will range from 100°-105° through Sunday.
Las Cruces is expected to match record temperatures Tuesday with a high of 101°.
El Paso will near records with a high of 104°, just one degree shy of the 105° record for this date.
El Paso will stay under a heat advisory through Thursday morning at 8 am.
Rain chances will remain limited for the rest of the week as the system continues to dominate the southwest.
Hot, calm conditions are expected.
