Cooling down slowly as we head into the weekend. However, with cooling temperatures, the Borderland will continue to see above average conditions for Friday
Friday will consist of southerly winds reaching 15-25 mph. Temperatures are predicted to reach highs in the low 80s and high 70s while our average high this time of year should be 73°.
Big changes are ahead as a back door cold front moves our way Friday night into Saturday morning.
We will be slightly below average for Saturday as our expected highs throughout the region will stay in the high 60s and low 70s. Winds will stay breezy as they move in from the south at 10-15 mph.
If you are heading to the Beto rally on Saturday morning, plan on taking a light jacket as it is expected to be in the low 60s for the start of the event.
Sunday is the day we are anticipating to see another high drop reaching high 50s and low 60s for our highs. That is a 20° drop from Friday due to the strong back door cold front bringing chilly air from the east coast.
