Ski enthusiasts should be excited at the prospect of snow in the Ruidoso area.
However, getting to the ski resort is another issue.
According to Ski Apache’s Twitter, the New Mexico Department of Transportation is trying to clear the hazardous roadway, but in the meantime only cars with four wheel drive and chains are allowed to drive on the road.
The DOT is currently working on the road due to hazardous conditions. Four wheel drive and chains are required. We are working hard to get the mountain open ASAP with 12 fresh new inches of snow!— Ski Apache (@SkiApache) December 28, 2018
So, if you are planning on heading to Ski Apache, just make sure you know what you are in store for or wait for the all clear from NMDOT.
