UTEP to host fall camp in Ruidoso

EL PASO, TEXAS (KTSM) - For the fourth consecutive year, the UTEP football team will open fall camp in the mountains of Ruidoso. Miners head coach Dana Dimel tells KTSM the team will report in El Paso on August 2.

"We'll head up to Ruidoso on the 3rd {of August} and spend time training up on the mountain until Sunday, the 12th {of August}. We'll come back after that," said Dimel. "Right now the guys are working out really hard and taking summer classes."

UTEP has held fall camp in Ruidoso every year since 2015, after the New Mexico Lobos opted out of their stay.

The Miners will host Northern Arizona to open the 2018 season on Saturday, September 1.
