EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Area round of the 2023 UIL Texas Softball State Playoffs started on Friday. Eight El Paso-area high school teams were in action aiming to continue their playoff journeys.

Hanks advances to Area round and will face off against Abilene Wylie at Monahans starting on Friday.
