UTEP’s leading scorer and rebounder in 2018-2019 will transfer, a source tells KTSM 9 Sports. Zuzanna Puc, who averaged 12.0 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per game this past season for the Miners, will not return to UTEP for her senior season.
A rough day for UTEP basketball gets worse: a source tells KTSM that junior Zuzanna Puc, the leading scorer and rebounder for the Miner women in 2018-19, is transferring out of the program. Puc will have just one year of eligibility remaining.— Colin Deaver (@ColinDeaverTV) March 22, 2019
Instead, Puc will sit out the 2019-2020 season to play her final year of eligibility elsewhere in 2020-2021.
This is the second consecutive year UTEP has lost one of their leading scorers from a year ago, after Najala Howell transferred to the University of New Mexico following the 2017-2018 season.
