Aaron Jones’ two-game suspension to begin the 2018 season is officially over, as the Green Bay Packers officially activated the former UTEP star to the 53-man roster on Wednesday.
Jones will fight for time in the backfield with Jamaal Williams and Ty Montgomery, who both played well in Green Bay’s first two games.
Jones said his suspension served as a wake-up call for the second-year pro.
“It was very difficult and very humbling. You see it from two different perspectives,” Jones said. “You’re in here with them in meetings and then on Sundays, you’re at home watching the game. It was very humbling seeing it from a different aspect.”
Jones rushed for 448 yards and four touchdowns as a rookie last season. The Packers play Washington on Sunday.
