NMSU in third place after Day 1 at WAC Championships

The New Mexico State women’s golf team sits in place after shooting a 293 (+9) during the first round of the Western Athletic Conference Championship at Oakwood Golf Club in Lakewood, Wash.


The Aggies boast two golfers in the top-four with Dominique Galloway posting a 69 (-2) to put her in a tie for first place with Seattke U’s Vendela From. Pun Chanachai is in a fourth-place tie after one round as she fired a 71 (E).


Chantal Dueringer posted a 75 (+4) to put her in a tie for 18th, while Maria Prado and Angela Xu sit in a 29th-place tie after shooting a 78 (+7).


After one round from the WAC Championship, Utah Valley is in first place on the team leaderboard as they fired a 289 (+5). Seattle U sits in second place with a 292 (+8) on the first day with NM State rounding out the top-three after shooting a 293 (+9).


The Aggies now ready for day two of the WAC Championship as they are set to tee off tomorrow, April 19, in wave three at approximately 10:40 a.m. (MT).  Fans can follow along with tomorrow’s action thanks to live stats from GolfStat.
