New Mexico State women’s golf completes day one at Cle Elum Regional


The New Mexico State women’s golf team fired a 321 (+33) on a sunny day from the NCAA Cle Elum Regional at Tumble Creek Club.


Dominique Galloway entered the clubhouse with the best score among the Aggies as she shot a 77 (+5) with a birdie on 15, as she sits in a tie for 64th. Pun Chanachai posted birdies on 14 and 3 but entered the clubhouse in an 84th-place tie (+8).


Freshman Chantal Dueringer and redshirt junior Maria Prado follow in a tie for 89th (+10) with Kehler Koss in a 95th-place tie at +14. UCF’s Ana Laura Collado leads the individual leaderboard after she fired a 66 (-6).


Top-seeded USC is first as a team as it shot a red-hot 281 (-7) and is closely followed by Northwestern at 284 (-4). Washington, the regional host, rounds out the top-3 at 3-under par. The top-6 teams from the region will advance to NCAA Finals.


NM State is set to tee off from hole 10 tomorrow, May 7, at approximately 11:20 a.m. (MT). The Aggies are paired with Southern Illinois and Boston. Fans can follow along with all the action from the Cle Elum Regional thanks to live stats from GolfStat.
