Former UTEP basketball player Kobe Magee has found a new home.
The San Antonio native will transfer to St. Mary’s University in his hometown of San Antonio, KTSM learned on Tuesday. St Mary’s is an NCAA Division II program. Magee will be immediately eligible because he is dropping down from Division I.
Magee played two seasons at UTEP, starting 15 games as a freshman. However, his minutes were reduced under new head coach Rodney Terry in 2018-19 and he averaged just 3 points per game.
With Magee finding a new school, that still leaves Evan Gilyard in search of a new school after he also transferred in March.
