El Paso Locomotive FC defeated Reno 1868 1-0 on Saturday night at Southwest University Park for its second win of its inaugural season.
El Paso and Reno played to a scoreless tie through the first 74 minutes, until Jerome Kiesewetter was tackled in the penalty box in the 75th minute. Locomotive FC was granted a penalty kick, and Sebastian Contreras was true from the spot to give Locomotive FC the victory.
The win moves El Paso to 2-2-3 on the season, as they look to climb out of last place in the USL’s Western Conference.
Locomotive FC will play at Colorado Switchbacks FC next week.
