Local high school baseball, softball teams advance in playoffs

The Santa Teresa baseball team and the Chapin softball team are moving on in the state playoffs.

The Desert Warriors defeating Kirtland Central 2-1 in Game 2 of the NMAA Class 4A Baseball State Playoffs. Meanwhile, the Huskies score an 8-0 win over Aledo to advance to the Regional Semifinals in the UIL Class 5A Softball Playoffs.

Weather played a factor in Albuquerque, New Mexico where several games were postponed due to rain. Teams there will be forced to play at least two games on Saturday.

KTSM 9 Sports made several stops in both New Mexico and Texas to highlight the action. Tune in!
