La’el Collins ventures to El Paso for Cowboys clinic

Sports

Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman La’el Collins was at El Paso High School on Saturday as part of the Cowboys high school football clinic.

Over 200 of the best high school football players in El Paso, hand-picked by their coaches, took part in the clinic that featured coaches from the Cowboys, in addition to Collins giving the players instruction. It’s the third consecutive year they’ve come to El Paso. This was the first year the Cowboys had the local coaches pick the participants.

The coaches picked, so it was some of their top athletes, said Cowboys manager of corporate partnerships Hunter Harvin. From what we’ve seen there’s kids that can play at the next level. Hopefully they’re encouraged by learning from coaches that played in the NFL.
