A trio Las Cruces-area high school student-athletes showed out at the 2023 NMAA Track and Field State Championships on Friday.

In Class 5A, the Organ Mountain boys 4×800 meter relay team won the state title.

Las Cruces High’s Kaselle Davis earned a gold medal in the Class 5A girls high jump.

In Class 4A, Chaparral High School’s Grady Martin grabbed a gold medal in the pole vault event.

On Saturday, Organ Mountain’s Corbin Coombs won gold in the Class 5A 800 meters run.

Another Knight managed to earn a gold medal. Organ Mountain’s Jeron Wisner grabbed a first-place finish in the 5A boys 3200 meters run.

Organ Mountain’s Shaolin Munir grabbed a gold medal in the girls 5A javelin throw.
