Former Kansas State quarterback to transfer to UTEP

UTEP’s crowded quarterback room just got even more crowded on Thursday. Former Kansas State quarterback Alex Delton announcing his plans to transfer to UTEP as a gradate transfer.

Delton has seen extensive playing time throughout his career at Kansas State, playing in 20 games and starting in six of those contests. He is dual-threat, totaling over 2,000 total yards and 16 touchdowns in his career as a Wildcat. His most productive seasons came under UTEP head coach Dana Dimel, who was his offensive coordinator at Kansas State from 2015-2017.

Delton will be immediately eligible to play in 2019 and will seemingly compete with Kai Locksley for the starting quarterback job when fall camp opens in August.
