The El Paso Scorpions are the men’s D-III Ruby Team in Far West Texas.

This year they won first place in the Rio Grande Rugby Union, which means they now have a chance to compete in the national championship.

The team was started back in 1972, as a UTEP Club. When all the members of the team graduated, it became a men’s club.

“Everyone just comes out here for the love of the game,” says Luke Hillebrecht, the Scorpion’s head coach.

The Scorpions have a few games coming up and they need their fan’s support to make it to those games.

The team has created a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for the trip
