In the first-ever El Paso 6A all-star baseball game at El Paso Community College on Saturday, the East All-Stars defeated the West All-Stars 10-3 thanks to a consistent scoring onslaught.
The East put up five runs in the first inning to put the West side in a big early hole that they were unable to recover from.
Regardless of the outcome, it was a fantastic way to wrap up the season, and for friends on both sides to come together one final time.
“We all play travel baseball. We’ve all played with each other since we were little,” said Franklin high school pitcher Cameron Radecki. “Even guys from other schools, we all know each other and it’s always fun to play one last time with each other.”
16 of the players on the all-star teams will go on to play baseball in college.
