Dynamic duo leads Pitt’s rushing attack

Pitt senior running backs Qadree Ollison and Darrin Hall did something no Panther running backs have ever done in the history of Pitt football in 2018.

Hall and Ollison are the first Pitt backs to rush for over 1,000 yards in the same season. Ollison went for almost 1,200 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2018, while Hall bulldozed his way to 1,021 yards and 9 scores.

“It makes us very dynamic. it gives us a lot of confidence,” Ollison said. “It gives myself a lot of confidence that I have someone that can come right in after me that’s just as good as me.
“Teams know what we’re able to do and we’re still able to get it done,” said Hall. “This is the first Pitt team to have two 1,000 yard rushers. To be in that category with all the great Pitt running backs is really amazing.”
Stanford running back Bryce Love might not take the field in this year’s Sun Bowl, but Pitt’s dynamic duo looks to be capable of carrying the load for running back star power this week in El Paso.
“We’ve been putting the team on our back all year and we’re fine with that,” Hall said. “We want to carry that and we’re going to get the job done.”
