UTEP has become a stable of running backs out of the El Paso area and you can add Andress senior Jalen Joseph to the growing list. The 5’10, 205 lbs. back verbally committed to the Miners via his Twitter account on Monday.
Joseph rushed for 773 yards and eight touchdowns in 2018 for the Eagles. He also added 156 receiving yards and one touchdown through the air, carrying Andress to their second consecutive bi-district championship.
Joseph will likely join Parkland senior running back Deion Hankins, the city’s all-time leading rusher, in UTEP’s 2019 signing class. The Miners also have former Americas running back Josh Fields on their roster, who will be a junior next season.
National Signing Day is Wednesday, February 6.
