Lee Brice Announced as Way Out West Festival Headliner

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - Country singer Lee Brice was announced as the headliner for this year's Way Out West Music Festival Thursday morning. The festival, which is scheduled for Saturday, October 13 at Southwest University Park is entering its third year.

Brice has several hits including "I Drive Your Truck," "A Woman Like You," "Hard to Love," "Drinking Class" and "That Don't Sound like You." He's also co-written several songs for Garth Brooks, Eli Young Band and Tim McGraw.

“I’ve tried to walk a fine line between the commercial and the things that are tangible,” he explains. “I’m on the road 200 days a year, trying to write songs when I’m in town. But I also want to make a life: I have a wife, a baby, two little boys and a home. That’s important to me. So when I’m home, I work harder and dig deeper into living. You know, you have to live so you have something to work from and write about.”

Brice's latest single, "Boy," is a tribute to his two young sons, ages 9 and 3.

The Way Out West Fest will feature a margarita contest, chili challenge, outdoor dance floor, retail and craft vendors and food vendors.

Tickets for Way Out West Fest go on sale Thursday, June 21st on and the Southwest University Park Box Office.
