Wreaths Across America pays holiday tribute to late veterans

Hundreds of El Pasoans paid a special holiday tribute to our nation’s late veterans Saturday morning.

The annual “Wreaths Across America” event allows volunteers to place wreaths on the headstone of fallen service members.

Upon placement of the wreaths, volunteers also saluted in front of each grave.

“We are not here to ‘decorate graves’,” Executive Director of Wreaths Across America Karen Worcester wrote on the event’s website. “We’re here to remember not their deaths, but their lives.
