A Pacific low-pressure system out to the west of us has started moving in our direction, causing winds in the borderland to strengthen into the night.
Saturday night, we are expecting those winds to stick around 15-25 mph. Sunday is when we will see the strongest of the storm.
Sunday winds are expected to reach 20-35 mph and winds gusts around 40 mph.
The areas the wind speeds will be affecting most are Northeast El Paso, Central El Paso, East, and Far East El Paso.
The system is also predicted to bring 10 percent chances for showers Sunday night into Monday morning.
