A strong low pressure system and winter storm makes its way into the borderland tonight.
A Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect at 10am Friday and last until 2pm Saturday.
Humid air from this storm system will be limited in El Paso and Las Cruces, however scattered showers will be in the forecast throughout Friday morning and afternoon. It won’t be until Friday night and Saturday that the possibility of flurries increase.
Cold air coming in with this system will drop temperatures around 10° below normal, and into the lower 40’s.
Las Cruces could see a total of 1 inch of snow throughout the weekend. But El Paso will see the tail end of the storm, only seeing flurries.
Below freezing temperatures and hard freezes are expected in the forecast every night until mid week.
