UTEP Math professor creates song about lottery strategies, myths

If you’re planning to purchase a Powerball ticket for Saturday night’s drawing, you may want to listen to a special song first.

Larry Lesser, a UTEP math professor, wrote “The Gambler” to address strategies and myths for playing the lottery.

The song, which is sung to the tune of the Don Schiltz version, won a math song contest in 2015 by the National Museum of Mathematics.
