The Miners’ losing streak is finally over!
UTEP defeated Rice 34-26 in Houston Saturday afternoon.

The win is nearly two years in the making — UTEP’s last victory came against UTSA on Nov. 26, 2016.
Rice now leads the series over UTEP 14-8.
UTEP will face off against Middle Tennessee on “Fan Appreciation Day” next Saturday in the Sun Bowl. Special fan rewards will be given away throughout the game, and fans will be invited onto the field postgame.
