Tuesday Weather on the go: Breezy day ahead, back in the 70s today

Increased wind speeds and above average temperatures are in the forecast for today and especially tomorrow.

Winds will come from the west southwest for today at 15-20 mph and gusts 30 mph. Gusts will pick up around noon but we will see peak gusts from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Winds coming from the west will warm up temperatures by nearly 10° compared to yesterday’s forecast highs. Forecast highs for today will be in the upper 70s and nearly 5° above average.

Winds will stay increased and breezy tonight, but are expected to increase to windy conditions Wednesday.

As of right now it looks like winds will come from the west southwest at 20-25+ mph and gusts 35+ mph. Keep in mind if wind speeds reach 30 mph we could see a Wind Advisory go into effect in some parts of the borderland.

A Fire Weather Watch will go into effect on Wednesday from 2 p.m to 7 p.m. This means that we will see warm, dry, and windy conditions throughout the day so any outdoor burning is highly discouraged.

Forecast highs will stay above average throughout the rest of the week, and will reach 80° by the weekend.
