A warm and calm day is expected across the borderland today.
Winds will be calm as they come from the west at 5-10 mph throughout the day. However, a weak cold front that also came from our west will kick off a cooling trend today.
Forecast highs are still above average and in the upper 70s, but as the week continues on we will see temperatures in the mid 70s by the weekend.
If you are heading to the El Paso Chihuahuas game tonight here is what you can expect:
6 p.m. Gates open at Southwest University Park; 76° and west winds at 7 mph.
7:05 p.m. First pitch; 70° and west winds at 8 mph
8 p.m. 66° and west winds at 9 mph
10 p.m. 9th inning; 61° and WSW winds at 8 mph
Two weak storms systems will come into our area starting tomorrow, but are only looking to be wind makers for our area.
The first one will come in on Friday afternoon but will have little humid air associated with it so we will only see some cloud coverage and breezy conditions with it.
Another storm system will come in on Saturday, but again will only increase winds to become breezy.
Temperatures will jump back up into the 80s by Monday and as more dry air and westerly winds come into the forecast we will see near 90° temperatures by Tuesday.
Another cold front will come in Tuesday into Wednesday kicking off another cooling trend. This will drop temperatures back down to the lower 80s by late next week.
