DALLAS (KXAN) – The Texas Education Agency is apologizing after a Dallas fifth-grader discovered the “F” word in a STAAR Test.
According to WAOI in San Antonio, the curse word was visible in small letters in pictures of a graffiti park.
The TEA released a statement regarding the incident, saying:
“This is in no way acceptable or appropriate, and we deeply regret that these images appeared on the test.”
Over 15,000 of the about 413,000 students who took the test received one of the booklets containing the swear word.
