EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A small plane crashed on Thursday afternoon in San Elizario, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Highway patrol troopers responded to the scene around 1:43 p.m.
The pilot was the sole occupant in the plane, according to troopers. He was identified as Jimmy Dale Stutesman.
Texas DPS said he did not suffer any serious injuries.
Investigators believe the crash was caused when the tail of the plane clipped a power line.
The Federal Aviation Administration is inspecting the crash.
