This year’s route for Slide the City has moved because of on-going construction.
Last year, it was held down Stanton but because of the construction with the Streetcar Project, it has been moved to Oregon.
Project coordinators have been working closely with event organizers to successfully execute this event.
There is construction on Oregon but we’re told it will all be cleaned up before the event. “Crews have been working very rapidly to make sure they get the work completed to a point where they can put a patch on it and put a slide over it,” said Martin Bartlett, the spokesperson for the El Paso Streetcar Project.
Slide the City is happening on Saturday on Oregon and Nevada. Riders must be 46 inches tall and five years old.
