Silva’s local super market celebrates 99th anniversary

News

Silva’s Super Market, a fifth generation family owned and operated grocery store, celebrated 99-years in the Borderland on Thursday.

The Silva’s had a blessing at noon and offered a special sale in honor of their anniversary.

Silva’s was first opened in 1918 by Jose Felix and Elvira Silva on Campbell and 9th. It was then moved to several other south El Paso locations until finally stayIng at their current location on 1000 S. Stanton.
