Congressman Beto O’Rourke announced his Senate run at the end of March, he has since been visiting cities across Texas as part of his campaign. O’Rourke says he’s had the ability to share the positive story of El Paso with the rest of the state.
As congressman, O’Rourke has made promises to the people of El Paso and has been working on special projects, like trying to get Castner Range recognized as a national monument. With a Senate run, will he continue efforting the promises he’s made.
“We want to make sure that our story here in El Paso, in Castner Range becomes part of the national story”, says O’Rourke.
O’Rourke has also been big on working for veterans. The president of the Veterans Business Association says he feels that O’Rourke has met every single promise he’s made since taking office.
People present at one of O’Rourke’s regularly scheduled town hall meetings don’t seem worried about his ability to juggle his responsibilities as a congressman while at the same time running for Senate.
