School districts from across nation to attend UTEP Teacher Job Fair

Future teachers, listen up!

About 80 school districts from across the country will participate in UTEP’s annual Spring Teacher Job Fair on Friday.

Some districts could conduct on-site interviews and offer contracts on the spot.

According to the assistant dean for the College of Education, recruiters return to UTEP’s teacher job fair because they are impressed with the quality of pre-service teachers.

Most of this year’s employers come from the region, but there will also be school districts from Kansas, Nebraska, Arizona, and Colorado as well.

“UTEP graduates are very unique and very diverse in their experiences, and they’re bilingual naturally,” said a representative from the Aldine (Texas) Independent School District. “(UTEP’s) education program is very strong.”

The job fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday at the Don Haskins Center.
