A cash reward has been increased to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the murder investigation of an 18-year-old man found dead in Mesilla last month.
Dakota Lunceford was last seen alive in Alamogordo on Friday, July 28. His body was discovered off Glass Road on Aug. 3.
Doña Ana County Sheriff’s detectives say Bryanna Terry, 19, was in contact with Lunceford in the days before his death and initially spoke with detectives who were working the case. Shortly after, she became uncooperative and a search warrant for her cell phone was issued.
Terry and her boyfriend, 22-year-old Justin Bullock, were arrested Aug. 15 in connection with the warrant. Both were charged with tampering with evidence. Bullock was additionally charged with resisting and obstructing for allegedly hiding in the attic of the home where the warrant was executed, and for reportedly trying to dismantle Terry’s phone.
According to jail records, Terry bonded out on Tuesday. Bullock remains jailed without bond.
