Beto O’Rourke’s Presidential campaign will officially kick off in Downtown El Paso next weekend. Campaign officials confirm the first kickoff event will happen at the intersection of El Paso St. and Overland St., a block south of the Hotel Paso Del Norte in Downtown El Paso.
El Paso’s program is set to begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 30. After the official El Paso campaign kickoff, O’Rourke will travel to Houston and then Austin where he will hold separate launch events. The event is free and open to the public, but attendees are asked to RSVP prior to attending.
O’Rourke’s last public appearance in El Paso was on February 11, when he spoke at the March for Truth Rally hosted by Women’s March El Paso and the Border Network for Human Rights. That rally, which was held directly across the street from where President Donald Trump was speaking to a packed crowd at the El Paso County Coliseum, pulled in an estimated 9,000 people.
