Congressman Beto O’Rourke hosted his final town hall meetings as El Paso’s U.S. representative on Friday.

“It’s been an absolute honor to represent you the last six years,” O’Rourke said. “I just want to thank you for giving me the honor of representing your interests in Washington D.C.”

At the meeting, which was held at Northeast El Paso’s Chapin High School, O’Rourke addressed border issues including the proposed wall, debt, and more.

The congressman said he will vote against any budget proposal that includes funding for the wall. He added that the U.S. is already $21 trillion in debt and the wall would add another trillion to our deficit.

Friday’s town halls were the 103rd and 104th O’Rourke has held since coming into office.
