Police search for Las Cruces convenience store robber


Las Cruces police need your help identifying a man suspected of robbing a convenience store Monday evening.

According to a news release, the robbery happened at about 9 p.m. at the Eagle Quik Mart located at 2110 N. Alameda.

Officials say the man walked in the store and looked like he was going to make a purchase before he punched the cashier and grabbed the cash register drawer.

He then ran out of the store and headed south.

He was seen entering a dark-colored four-door “boxy” sedan. The car was last seen leaving a nearby apartment complex and heading south on Alameda.

The suspect is described as African-American man in his mid-30s, about 6’1″, and with full sleeve tattoos on both arms. He was wearing a black T-shirt, red shorts, and red shoes. 

Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that helps identify the man.

Anyone with information is asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Tips can also be provided through the Las Cruces Crime Stoppers app. “P3 TIPS.” The app is available through the App Store.
