Police identify victim, suspect in Northeast El Paso nightclub shooting

Police have identified the man shot to death outside a Northeast El Paso bar Sunday morning as Demarquis Quintev Smith, 32, of Fort Bliss.

As KTSM previously reported, Smith was shot at about 5 a.m. while he driving out of the Club Hush parking lot located at 8216 Dyer.

According to a news release, the department’s Crimes Against Persons unit secured an arrest warrant for Ahmond Shariff Williams, 27, the suspected shooter.

Police say Williams has not yet been arrested, but is now wanted for Smith’s murder.

Detectives will release photos of Williams later in the investigation.
