EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - UPDATE:
Police have identified the driver killed in a crash on I-10 late Friday night as Jacob Bernaldez, 21.
According to a news release, Bernaldez was driving west on I-10 near Lee Trevino when the car veered off the road and rolled over onto a gravel area.
Bernaldez was ejected from the car and died at the scene.
Passengers Jesus Ramos, 21, and Nicholas Blea, 20, were taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Police say alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in this crash.
At least one person has died as a result of a crash on I-10, El Paso Police confirm via Twitter.
Police responded to the accident at about 2 a.m. Saturday on I-10 West near Lee Trevino.
All lanes of the highway were completely closed for about four hours, but have since reopened.
Officials have not yet released the identity of the driver or the cause of the crash.
According to police, this is the sixth traffic-related death of 2018.
