The El Paso Community Foundation’s Plaza Classic Film Camp returns this summer.
The second annual camp, which is sponsored by The Borderplex Alliance, will run weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. August 1-5 and 8-12 at the El Paso Public Library Main Branch, 501 N. Oregon.
Enrollment is open to children between the ages of 9 and 15.
Experienced teachers and professionals will guide camp participants to conceive, write, storyboard, shoot, and edit their own films.
The two-week intensive camp will be run by the Philosophic Systems Institute and will focus on the fundamentals of filmmaking, animation, acting, directing, and editing.
Their finished movied will be shown in a free, public program during the ninth annual Plaza Classic Film Festival, which returns August 4-14.

A limited number of scholarships are available to El Paso and Juarez residents. The deadline for the scholarship application is July 10th.
