Pets of El Paso County residents eligible for free spay and neuter program


The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has launched a free spay and neuter program for all residents of outlying communities in El Paso County. Animals that are spayed or neutered are also eligible to get their rabies and booster shots for free. 

In order to be eligible for the free shots, you must have both services scheduled the same day. The program is open to residents of Horizon City, Vinton, Socorro, Anthony, Clint, San Elizario and unincorporated areas within El Paso County. 

All services are by appointment only. 

May Schedule: 

  • Thursday, May 2: Socorro
  • Friday, May 3: Horizon City
  • Thursday, May 9: Socorro
  • Tuesday, May 14: San Elizario
  • Tuesday, May 14: Anthony
  • Thursday, May 16: Socorro
  • Friday, May 17: Horizon City
  • Wednesday, May 29: Montana Vista
  • Thursday, May 30: Socorro
