DPS trooper involved in Far East El Paso shooting


EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A shooting involving a Texas Department of Public Safety officer happened Tuesday afternoon in Far East El Paso.

Authorities said it happened on the 13000 block of Eastlake around 2 p.m.

Sergeant Marc Couch with the Texas Department of Public Safety said there was a trooper involved, “The trooper is fine. In this situation, right now we’re under investigation to make sure we get the best information out to the public that we can. There’s no danger to the public.”
