EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Police Department (EPPD) is asking for the public’s help after the death of a teen girl in Far East El Paso

Officers first responded to a call of a shooting at the 14300 block of Coyote Trail in far East El Paso at 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

According to officials, a teen girl is dead under what they’re calling “suspicious circumstances.”

Detective Judy Oviedo says El Paso Police Department, Crimes Against Persons and Patrol officers are still investigating.

Adding that they are asking for the public’s help.

“Crimes Against Persons is currently investigating and asking the public with any information to please contact the El Paso Police Department non-emergency line or Crime Stoppers El Paso,” said Oviedo.

The mobile command unit was on scene early Friday morning; our KTSM crew also spotted the medical examiner.

No further information has been released, as the investigation is still ongoing.
