The Border Human Rights Network created a new group of local advocates who are against the removal of DACA called, the Border Dreamers Alliance.
BDA was created to bring young leaders together to defend the dignity and rights of everyone in the United States. The alliance is also designed to educate, organize, and mobilize area “DREAMERS” to know their rights.
A local group member and DREAMER wanted to encourage young people to not be afraid of what’s to come and to keep pushing toward having a better lifestyle. Despite the efforts to kill DACA, the group says people shouldn’t live in fear.
Border Dreamers Alliance had their first community meeting on September 20, in downtown El Paso. There are more meetings being scheduled over the next couple of weeks.
