Earlier this month, we announced that Netflix selected Albuquerque for its U.S. production hub.

This is the company’s first purchase of a production studio complex.

Netflix will produce film and television series in the new facility and at locations around the state.

ABQ Studios, which is where Netflix will reside, consists of 8 sound stages, production offices, mill space and a back lot.

It also offers a variety of production support from in-house lighting and grip to equipment rental.

The effort to bring Netflix to Albuquerque was made possible through Local Economic Development Act (LEDA) funding.

The State of New Mexico will provide up to $10 million in LEDA funding and the City of Albuquerque will commit up to $4.5 million in local LEDA funding to the project.

This project is set to provide a major boost not only for the city of Albuquerque but for the entire state of New Mexico as well.
