Best Buy to stop selling CDs on July 1

 If you’re looking for CDs at Best Buy this summer, you’ll be out of luck. 

In February, Billboard reported the company will stop selling compact discs nationwide on July 1. Though it is pulling out of CD sales, Best Buy will continue to carry vinyl for the next two years.

Target is also apparently changing the way it thinks of CDs. According to Billboard, the company told music and video suppliers it will pay music labels when the CDs are sold, instead of paying in advance to purchase bulk orders and shipping back unsold units for a credit.
