Multiple agencies responding to SWAT call in Northeast El Paso


El Paso Police is assisting the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in a possible SWAT situation in the 7600 block of Clio in Northeast El Paso.

The situation began around 8 a.m. and it is unclear exactly what led to the standoff, but El Paso Police have confirmed that they are assisting the federal agency in securing the perimeter. Witnesses say that some families were removed from their homes near the intersection of Apollo and Clio for safety precautions.
