His parents recently made their way to El Paso in an effort to expand the search.

26-year-old Richard (Rick) Steven Rue was reported missing from Colorado on Friday May 26th. According to El Paso Police, Rick was last seen at the Burger King at 7900 N. Mesa. Rick’s White Ford Ranger was found at Valero off Sunland Park. Rick’s parents now believe he is on foot and still in West El Paso.

Rick suffers from a medical condition, his parents say he could be in danger because he hasn’t taken his medication.

In Colorado Rick has a full time job as welder, his parents describe him as independent, kind and compassionate. Without his medication they say he isn’t able to make good judgments and won’t take care of himself.  Now his parents say they will stay in town until they find him.

Rick is described as 6’1″, 195 pounds with brown eyes, brown hair and was last seen wearing a black rip curl hat, black In and Out burger shirt, jeans and black work boots.

If you have information on Rue’s whereabouts, you’re asked to contact police at (915) 832-4400. Rick’s parents are also offering a $1,000 reward for anybody with information that leads to him being found.
